Siskiyou Ice Rink’s ’17-’18 season youth & adult hockey programs  begin Sat, November 18, 2017, and run through Sun, Feb. 25, 2018.

Hockey program all-access season passes are available at Siskiyou Ice Rink, the Mt. Shasta Rec and Parks District office, or online with Paypal after Sign-up Saturday sales.

Learn to Skate & Play Hockey Classes are offered at two levels of instruction, for those who want to learn to play, but have little or no experience, and for those who have experience but want to work on skills. Learn to skate, handle the stick and puck, and basic rules of the game. Classes accommodate ages 4-adult; girls & boys, men & women.  Some equip. is avail for use. Cost: Free with All-Access season pass, or $10 drop-in per class.

Mon/Wed classes offer beginning-level coaching, 6-7:15pm.

Tues/Thurs classes offer intermediate-advance coaching, 6-7:15pm.

LauraBradley&Fam-croppedsYouth & Teen Hockey

A fun 14-week program for beginner & intermediate-advanced levels, ages 4-18yrs. Some equip. avail for use. Includes learn-to-play classes (see yellow box above), team coaching, practices and games.

Practices begin early December (late enrollment with coach approval). Games held Saturdays, 10:30am-12pm.



Adult Hockey (mature teens can join)

• Learn to Skate & Learn to Play Hockey Classes (see yellow box above).  M/W for beginners; T/Th for taking skills to a next level. 

Pick-up Games:
Designed for players ages 16 & up to play a scrimmage in an organized manner. Nets and pucks provided, but not referees. Players must wear full gear. $10/drop-in; Free for Hockey/All-Access & Travelers passholders and goalies. The season’s last pick-up scrimmage game is Saturday Feb 25, 2017, 8-10am.

Thursdays: 7:45-9pm.

Stick Time: Sundays: 8-10am (except Jan 28, 2018) 
An open skate time reserved for hockey players of all ages to work on their personal skills. Players dress in full gear and practice shooting, passing, stick handling and skating skills. Equipment requirements: shin guards, elbow pads, gloves, stick, helmet, puck, skates; skaters under age 18 must wear full face mask. By donation, appreciated when you can (helps keep rink programs going).

Hockey Season Passes and Drop-in Costs

Hockey Passes are all-access passes to the rink – the pass includes access to public skate sessions, all events, and hockey programs including “Learn to Skate and Play Hockey” classes and practices with USA Hockey certified coaches, and games. Also includes rental skates if needed.

Hockey Tournament

Sat, January 27, 2018, 6pm – ?

  • 5 on 5 at our newly expanded NHL-sized rink; all skill levels welcome
  • USA hockey certified officials
  • Check-in starts at 4:30pm. Teams selected at 5:30pm.
  • 1st game begins 6pm, tournament runs to ?
  • Games are 2-14 minute periods with no stop time
  • Each team gets a minimum of 3 games
  • Limited to the 1st 60 players & 1st 6 goalies
  • $55/player; goalies free
