Christmas Eve Update

Update 6pm: Sadly we are not able to open tonight, but unless we get another big storm overnight, the rink will open at noon on Christmas for the first of two public skate sessions. See new post above.

Update 2pm: a team of folks have been working all day to clear the ice, and we still can’t say for certain that the rink will be open tonight (and Christmas day) for skating – we are striving for this, but there are still multiple factors involved preventing us from being able to say with certainty that we’ll be open tonight. We know this isn’t of much help to everyone needing to plan ahead, and we will keep updating as the day progresses.

Folks are having a blast sledding at the skateboard park adjacent to the rink (same parking lot, just north of the rink). If you come out during the day to check on the rink in person, bring sleds for that alternate family activity.

Thanks for your patience, all of us behind the scenes at the rink really want to be skating again as soon possible too!!

9:15am: Good Day Skaters. We are working hard to clear all of the snow that fell this weekend off the ice and are hoping to have the rink open for Christmas Day and possibly for an afternoon session on Christmas Eve. Please call the Ice Line (530-926-1715) for updates on rink conditions. Hope to see you on the ice!
